MDU Resources Group, Inc. announced that Priti Patel, vice president and chief transmission officer at Great River Energy, has been elected to its board of directors following nomination by the board and approval by shareholders.
Patel brings 28 years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on electric transmission systems, infrastructure planning and operational leadership. At Great River Energy, she is responsible for overseeing the cooperative’s transmission division and ensuring reliable service to cooperative members.
MDU Resources, Inc. is headquartered in Bismarck, North Dakota, where it serves more than 1.2 million customers with electricity and natural gas utility services.
Patel’s election strengthens her relationships and insights in the Upper Midwest energy space.
