Standards of conduct for transmission providers - Great River Energy

Standards of conduct for transmission providers

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Orders 717, 717-A, 717-B, 717-C and 717-D establish the Standards of Conduct (SOC) for electric transmission providers. The SOC intend to balance the requirements of limiting access to non-public transmission function information while maintaining integrated transmission and generation planning.

Great River Energy requires its employees, contractors, consultants and agents abide by the SOC

We operate our transmission system within MISO and, because our transmission system is highly integrated with several neighboring utilities, we must follow the rules of the regional transmission environment. Compliance with the SOC is another example of the various MISO rules, federal regulations and contractual obligations we must meet as a public utility.
