Orpen named vice president

A longtime Great River Energy leader has been tapped to guide the next chapter for the cooperative’s corporate and member services division.

Lisa Orpen was recently named Great River Energy’s vice president and chief corporate and member services officer, where she will lead a team responsible for numerous company functions.

“Lisa has been instrumental in keeping Great River Energy’s talent in step with changes to our strategies and energy resources as well as evolving member needs,” said Great River Energy President and Chief Executive Officer David Saggau. “Her confidence, calm demeanor and steady leadership have made her a trusted voice among our employees and our membership.”

Orpen has been a Great River Energy employee for more than 20 years and held several positions during her tenure, most recently as director of human resources. Orpen and her team will provide member services, business operations and corporate development support while also leading corporate strategy, human resources, communications and marketing.

“The corporate and member services division has a diverse pool of talent and wide breadth of experience with a remarkable ability to respond internally and externally to the changes in our industry,” Orpen said. “I am excited for the opportunity to lead an incredible team that does so much good for our member-owners and employees.”
