Great River Energy is a corporate citizen that believes in supporting the communities we serve – beyond our business purpose.
We donate to organizations within our member cooperatives’ service areas or near our facilities. The organizations we support have made a positive impact on our communities and member consumers; we’re proud to help them deliver on their missions.
Before you request funding, please determine if you qualify for a sponsorship or a contribution. Do not apply for both.
A contribution is a charitable donation of money to a non-profit organization as means of support.
Sponsorships are financial support in exchange for promotional and community relations value. Through our sponsorships, we hope to maximize our visibility and messaging by educating attendees and participants about Great River Energy, its member cooperatives and energy issues.
Great River Energy has two contribution teams, one in Minnesota and one in North Dakota. Each team focuses on the unique needs of their particular communities, while following the same set of guidelines. Please review our guidelines to determine if your organization fits our qualifications.
Generally, Minnesota contributions focus on the areas in which we live, work and serve. In North Dakota, contributions focus on communities within Oliver, McLean, Mercer and Stutsman counties.
With our contributions, we strive to do the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Recognizing the increasing cultural diversity of the communities we serve, Great River Energy will strive to reflect this diversity in its grant making.
