Ongoing efforts to improve employee wellness earned Great River Energy a place among the 2022 honorees for this year’s Healthiest Employers of Minnesota list.
The electric cooperative took second place in the midsize category (500-4,999 employees) for Minnesota employers — behind only Syngenta, which employs more than 4,000 people. Employers from this region were recognized for their offerings related to employee well-being, including flexible work schedules, mental health support, tuition reimbursement, and paternity and maternity leave.
“Great River Energy remains committed to workplace well-being and exceptional health and benefits offerings,” said Jason Vollbrecht, leader of Total Rewards at Great River Energy. “We continually look for ways to incorporate flexibility, work-life effectiveness and mental health resources in support of our employees and their families.”
The Healthiest Employers awards program honors the best and brightest in workplace wellness each year, putting Great River Energy among a distinct group of high-performing organizations. Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: culture and leadership; foundational; strategic planning; communication and marketing; programming and interventions; and reporting and analytics.
