Great River Energy is a corporate citizen that believes in supporting the communities we serve – beyond our business purpose.
We donate to organizations within our member cooperatives’ service areas or near our facilities. The organizations we support have made a positive impact on our communities and member consumers; we’re proud to help them deliver on their missions.
What’s the difference between a sponsorship and a contribution?
Before you request funding, please determine if you qualify for a sponsorship or a contribution. Do not apply for both.
A contribution is a charitable donation of money to a non-profit organization as means of support.
Sponsorships are financial support in exchange for promotional and community relations value. Through our sponsorships, we hope to maximize our visibility and messaging by educating attendees and participants about Great River Energy, its member cooperatives and energy issues.
Contribution requests
Great River Energy’s contribution team focuses on the unique needs of our communities, while following a set of guidelines. Generally, we focus on the areas in which we live, work and serve. Please review our guidelines to determine if your organization fits our qualifications.
With our contributions, we strive to do the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Recognizing the increasing cultural diversity of the communities we serve, Great River Energy will strive to reflect this diversity in its grant making.
