Great River Energy’s Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) provides a comprehensive view of our resource plans for the next 15 years. The plan represents our intent to reliably meet our members’ energy needs in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner. Our preferred resource plan continues to position our power generation portfolio toward a lower-carbon future and includes additional wind generation. Our plan continues to rely on energy efficiency and conservation measures. It also highlights our innovative electrification and grid modernization initiatives.
We filed our most recent IRP with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) on April 28, 2017.
Our IRP will undergo review by the PUC with a decision expected in the spring of 2018.
On July 1, 2018, Great River Energy filed its required North Dakota 10-Year Plan Report 2018–2027 with the North Dakota Public Service Commission, county auditors, and state agencies and officials as required by North Dakota Century Code Chapter 49-22-04. The filing supplies information on our resources and projects proposed in North Dakota over the coming 10-year time period.
