Great River Energy’s safety administrators from Minnesota and North Dakota highlighted Great River Energy’s safety communications program at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s 2016 Safety Leadership Summit in Dallas, Texas, Nov. 16 to 18.
They joined safety administrators from other cooperatives to discuss best practices in engaging and training cooperative employees. Safety is deeply ingrained in the Great River Energy culture, and employees continuously demonstrate that they are committed to safety both on and off the job.
The safety communications program “Safety is personal” highlighted individual employees with their own reasons they have to always keep safety top of mind. Some included: spending time with family, enjoying retirement or playing with grandchildren.
