Great River Energy proposes to build and operate approximately 7 miles of new 115-kilovolt (kV) transmission line that is needed to provide electric power to a new petroleum pump station being proposed by Enbridge Energy in the Itasca-Mantrap Cooperative Electrical Association’s service area.
This project was previously called the Clover 115-kV transmission project.
Structure: Wood poles
Right of Way: 100-foot-wide right of way. 50 feet on each side of centerline
Voltage: 115 kV
Spans: 350 to 400 feet apart
Energization: Fall 2019
Length: 7 miles
Permits: An Environmental Assessment and Conditional Use Permit permitted by the local government authority
Representatives of Great River Energy and Itasca-Mantrap Cooperative held an open house meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the Arago Town Hall and provided information about the proposed project and heard feedback.

Great River Energy was issued a local Conditional Use Permit from Clover Township on Oct. 21, 2015, which was renewed in October 2016, October 2017, October 2018 and October 2019.
