Apprenticeship program

An ApprenticeshipUSA LEADER

Our apprenticeship programs date back as far as 1974. Currently, we have a Minnesota Department of Labor (DOL) approved, union endorsed apprenticeship program to grow, educate and safely train employees in the generation and transmission divisions, as well as the business operations department.

  • Earn-and-learn career training: Apprentices receive practical on-the-job training
  • A career: Once the apprenticeship is complete, employees are on their way to a successful long-term career with a competitive wage and high-demand skills
  • National credential: When an apprentice graduates from a career training program, he or she earns a certified portable credential accepted by industries and employers across the U.S.
