John Twiest was named Arrowhead Cooperative’s new CEO/general manager, effective July 1.
Twiest joined the cooperative in 2005 as an electric apprentice lineman, then was promoted to operations/outside plant manager in 2013. Since then he has played an instrumental role in completing critical projects at the co-op, including the design and installation of its solar array and implementation of its advanced metering infrastructure.
“We are confident in John’s ability to build on the successes at Arrowhead and to lead the cooperative to an even brighter future,” said Board President Roger Opp, who noted that the co-op’s board of directors was unanimous in their support of Twiest for this role.
“Our vision of ‘Connecting the tip of the Arrowhead’ has never been more important in the Cooperative’s history,” Twiest said. “Educating our members, especially the younger generations, will ensure a strong community and cooperative in the future.”
