Star Lake 41.6-kV transmission project

Great River Energy proposes to build and operate approximately 8.75 miles of new 41.6-kilovolt (kV) overhead transmission line in southern Otter Tail County to provide power to the new Lake Region Electric Cooperative distribution substation.

Public meetings

Representatives of Great River Energy and Lake Region Electric Cooperative held an open house meeting on Feb. 23, 2016, at the Maine Township Hall and provided information about the proposed project and listened to landowners.
