Big Sandy 69-kV transmission project

Great River Energy proposes to build and operate approximately 7.25 miles of new 69-kilovolt (kV) overhead transmission line near McGregor, Minn., to ensure the reliability of electric service to the members of Lake Country Power. Lake Country Power is building a new Big Sandy Substation, and this transmission line will improve the electric service to the Big Sandy area.

Public Meetings

Representatives of Great River Energy and Lake Country Power held an open house meeting from on Dec. 18, 2014, at the McGregor Community Center and provided information about the proposed project and heard feedback.
