Great River Energy begins a new era for its North Dakota generation operations with upcoming retirement of John Weeda, director of North Dakota generation.
During his 41-year tenure with Great River Energy, most of which was spent at the Coal Creek Station power plant, Weeda and his staff overcame challenges and completed major projects by fostering a healthy and productive culture.
“Our focus on a respectful work environment, involvement of all employees and continual improvement unlocked an innovative spirit,” said Weeda.
John Bauer has assumed the responsibilities of director of North Dakota generation. Bauer has been a Great River Energy employee since 1981, most recently serving as the manager of North Dakota operations services.
